Now as you all know I can cook a steak. I have been to Elway's in Denver, Jordans in Chicago, Smith and Wolenski's and Peter Luger Steakhouse in NYC. They are all great experiences. But recently my wife and I were in the Denver area for a dog show. One of our little puppies (she is 10 years old) competed in the veteran class and stole the show. In celebration we went to Shananhan's Steakhouse. Having been to the best houses before it would be considered that competing in this space in my book of experiences would be tough. And yes I would agree. But this restaurant also stole the show. It checked all my boxes. Never have I been the recipient of such good service. My Delmonico was "Stop the music and call the lawyers!" great. The sides were so good I could not stop myself from continuing to pick away for the entire meal. Now my best buddy Dan and his wife were equally impressed. Dan, like me, can cook a steak and he too is very particular about everything restaurant. Dan also had the Delmonico. He is a lawyer so I did not have to "call the lawyers" as he was right there. Simply, in my book the top of my steakhouse list.
