As you can tell by the reviews I really like steakhouses. Beef is my thing. As a Chef I am very particular about the quality of the beef, the grade and the technique to cook it. First off St Elmo is famous. Its very old and a lot of the staff have been there for decades. That tells you something.
First off the service is off the charts great. The appetizer (shrimp cocktail) was awesome. The sides were all unbelievably delicious. This was an old fashioned steakhouse. It was our 50th wedding anniversary. My wife is very particular about the cook on the steak. Well done! Ewwww! But that is her. I will quote her "That was the best steak I have ever had!" What more can be said other than I have crowned a new champion of steakhouses.
