Chef-iT Terms of Service

Welcome to Chef-iT ("Chef-iT," "we," "our," or "us"). Chef-iT is an AI-powered culinary education and coaching platform featuring conversational avatar technology designed to provide cooking instruction, culinary education, restaurant business guidance, and related informational content.
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Chef-iT, you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Chef-iT.
2. Nature of the Service
Chef-iT provides educational and informational assistance relating to cooking, culinary techniques, restaurant operations, menu costing, food safety, hospitality, and related topics.
Chef-iT is not a licensed attorney, accountant, physician, nutritionist, food safety inspector, or other regulated professional. Information provided should not be considered professional legal, financial, medical, tax, or regulatory advice.
Users are responsible for exercising their own judgment, and confirm information provided  before acting upon recommendations.
3. User Accounts
You agree to:
Provide accurate registration information.
Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Be responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
4. Subscription Services
Certain features require a paid subscription.
Subscriptions may include:
Voice conversations
AI culinary coaching

Subscription pricing, usage limits, and billing terms will be displayed during purchase.
5. AI Responses
Chef-iT uses artificial intelligence to generate conversational responses.
AI responses may occasionally contain inaccuracies or outdated information. Users should independently verify information before making business, financial, or food safety decisions.
6. Food Safety
Users remain solely responsible for:
Proper food handling
Safe cooking temperatures
Cross-contamination prevention
Allergies
Local health regulations
Chef-iT is not responsible for foodborne illness, injury, or damages resulting from reliance upon platform content.
7. Restaurant & Business Advice
Business, menu pricing, accounting, staffing, marketing, and operational recommendations are educational information only.
Business outcomes depend upon many factors beyond Chef-iT's control.
8. Intellectual Property
All Chef-iT software, branding, graphics, avatar content, videos, educational materials, prompts, and proprietary systems remain the exclusive property of Chef-iT and its licensors.
Users may not:
Copy
Resell
Reverse engineer
Redistribute
Train competing AI systems using Chef-iT content
without written permission.
9. User Content
Users retain ownership of content they submit.
By using Chef-iT, you grant Chef-iT permission to process conversations, transcripts, and uploaded content solely for providing and improving the service, subject to our Privacy Policy.
10. Availability
We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or technical issues may temporarily affect service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chef-iT shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.
Our total liability shall not exceed $10.00 (USD) over a ten-year usage period.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Chef-iT Acceptable Use Policy
Chef-iT is designed to provide a positive educational experience for home cooks, professional chefs, restaurant owners, culinary students, and hospitality professionals.
Users agree not to:
Use Chef-iT for unlawful purposes.
Harass, threaten, abuse, or impersonate others.
Upload malicious software or attempt unauthorized access.
Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the AI platform.
Circumvent subscription limits or security measures.
Use automated tools to scrape or harvest Chef-iT content.
Generate content that violates applicable law.
Request assistance for dangerous, fraudulent, or illegal activities.
Chef-iT reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy or for any other reason.
AI Conversations
Chef-iT conversations may be stored to:
Improve personalized coaching
Maintain conversation history
Generate customer memories
Improve service quality
Users may request deletion of their stored conversation history, subject to applicable law.
Fair Use
Subscription plans may include reasonable usage limits.
Accounts exhibiting excessive automated usage, abuse, or activity inconsistent with normal customer use may be reviewed or limited to ensure reliable service for all users.
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
Warning
Temporary suspension
Permanent account termination
Legal action where appropriate

Hold Harmless
By using Chef-iT, you acknowledge that the information, recommendations, recipes, business guidance, and educational content provided through the platform are offered for informational and educational purposes only. You accept full responsibility for your decisions, actions, and results arising from your use of Chef-iT.
You agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Chef-iT, George Lovato Jr., BH Capital Limited, their owners, affiliates, employees, contractors, licensors, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the platform, your reliance on information provided by Chef-iT, your violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
Cooking, food preparation, outdoor cooking, restaurant operations, and business decisions involve inherent risks. Users are solely responsible for exercising appropriate judgment, following applicable food safety practices, complying with local laws and regulations, and seeking qualified professional advice where appropriate. Chef-iT does not guarantee any particular outcome, result, profitability, or success from the use of its services.
Chef-iT is intended to assist—not replace—the independent judgment, experience, and professional decision-making of its users.

Business recommendations should be independently evaluated before making important financial decisions, and an accountant should be consulted.
Users remain responsible for decisions made using AI-generated information.
